This 3-year-old 5000 sq ft Santa Fe-Bali
style villa provides a spectacular 360 degree view of the blue Pacific
Ocean and the lush mountains of Rarotonga's interior.
Surrounded by tropical flower and fruit gardens, the hand crafted adobe
stucco villa sits on 1 ¼ acres making it a very private and secluded
location.
The villa was designed with comfort in mind. The 12 foot ceilings with
BREEZE block ventilation catch the trade winds and give year round comfort
making air conditioning unnecessary.
However there is a gas / wood burning fireplace for cooler winter
evenings when temperatures may drop to around 70 degrees F.
Relax and read a book, from the hundreds on hand in the 750 sq ft living
room with comfortable overstuffed couches, chairs and footstools,
Tiffany style floor lamps, and Persian carpets on slate and polished
floors. Original art works from around the Pacific rim adorn the walls.
Doorways and rooms are highlighted with Balinese architectural pieces.
Watch the sun set over the Pacific from the 900 sq ft under-cover dining
pavilion situated adjacent to the living room, which seats 12 if you
feel like entertaining.
There is also an indoor dining room near the gourmet kitchen.
If you are in the king suite you won't have a problem sleeping as long
as the sound of the surf breaking on the reef doesn't keep you awake.
If it does the queen suite offers you a quiet jasmine-scented garden
courtyard setting with a fish pond.
Artists should bring along paints and head upstairs to the studio which
includes a large easel, water and separate bathroom.
And fantastic stargazing opportunities are available from the
observation/sun deck which is complete with telescope.
The villa is equipped with all modern conveniences including an in-house
computer for checking email or sending/receiving faxes.
The pool, located off the king suite patio and under a sun screen, is
very peaceful and has a great view of the Pacific.
Included in the villa rental is an English speaking cook/housekeeper,
grounds man and vehicle .
Rarotonga shares the same time zone as Hawaii and is located directly
south of it at a latitude of 21 degrees south.
There are three Air New Zealand flights from Los Angles per week (flight
time of approximately 9 hours) and seven flights from Auckland, New
Zealand (3« hours flying time).
Villa rental $25,000 per month, minimum stay two weeks..
